Our Cluster

We are part of the Caerleon Cluster of schools, and have a close working relationship with Caerleon Comprehensive School, Charles Williams Primary School and Caerleon Lodge Hill.

Together we undertake projects to ensure that the children in our Cluster engage in similar learning experiences - these include English and Maths transition projects which as undertaken by all children in Years 5, 6 and 7. Teachers from Caerleon Comprehensive School, for example, work closely with teachers in the primary school to ensure that similar effective teaching and learning strategies are used. 

Teachers also engage in research projects with teachers from other cluster schools; for example the Well-being leads meet regularly to ensure that provision in our schools is equitable. The Headteachers of the cluster schools meet regularly, as do the Professional Learning leads meet regularly, to ensure that we have a shared and consistent approach to the development of the Curriculum for Wales within our schools.
